Bridal Hair & Makeup: Tips & Tricks

We have had the honor of being a part of the big day for many brides by helping with the hair and makeup for them and their bridal parties, and we wanted to share a few tips and tricks.
Prepare by finding inspiration photos on Pinterest or the internet. Save them to show your stylist and make-up artist and try to pinpoint which aspects of the looks you like.
Pay for the trial run of your hair and makeup. It may seem like a lot of money, but it gives you and your stylist plenty of time to discuss the goal, to create a look, and to decide on tweaks that need to be made on the day of the wedding. If you are having bridal portraits taken, you can plan to have them done the same day as your hair and makeup trial.
Consider the style of your dress when deciding which direction to go with your hairstyle.
Wash your hair 1-2 days before the wedding. Freshly cleaned hair is slicker and harder to work with when styling. If you have hair that tends to get oilier, try washing your hair the day or night before.
If you have any diehard products that you use, whether it is your favorite smudge-proof liquid lip stain or a foundation you swear by, we recommend bringing them along so your artist has the option to incorporate them into your look.
Wear a robe, button-up top, or wrap dress so you don't dishevel your hair or smudge your makeup when changing into your wedding gown.
Don't forget to pack a few essentials to have accessible throughout the day's proceedings. We recommend hairspray, lip product, setting powder or blotting sheets, and a few bobby pins.
